CEHI is a research centre of the University of Barcelona, with over fifty years of history and extensive experience in social research and dissemination of the history of the world. The CEHI located in the Pavilion of the Republic, which contains a large documentary and bibliographic archive, has an extensive experience in the study of the Civil War, the Franco dictatorship and the transition to democracy. In addition CEHI has developed a more comprehensive study about the analysis of the conflict from a historical perspective and has extended its analysis to the geographic and cultural Mediterranean area.
The GRANMA. Research and Analysis Group of the Current World linked to CEHI is a consolidated research group of the Generalitat de Catalunya (GRC99 2009-2013 / GRC0006, 2014-2016), who works in this dual role, including the recent history of Catalonia and the international dimension of the history of the world.
